The Bolbanne is a black clamp lamp with a slim bar-shaped head, a flexible gooseneck and a base that grips the edge of a desk. It measures 45cm long, 6.5cm wide and 27.5cm high, and the body is plastic with a black finish. The light comes from an integrated LED drawing 4.2W and giving 600lm at 4000K, a cool light that suits reading, writing and close work, and there is no separate bulb to buy. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

Because it clamps to the edge rather than standing on the surface, it keeps the desktop clear for a laptop, papers and a cup of coffee.
