Description

The Bola is a 40cm spherical pendant light built from interwoven acrylic strands that form a semi-transparent globe, suspended from a polished chrome canopy on an adjustable cable. A single E27 bulb sits inside the sphere, casting light through the acrylic weave to create layered shadow patterns on surrounding surfaces. The chrome canopy measures approximately 100mm diameter and conceals the cable attachment point.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Bola functions as both ambient and decorative lighting. The 500-1500mm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set at different heights depending on room proportions — typically 700-800mm above a dining table or 600-900mm above a kitchen island. The acrylic strand construction weighs 1.44kg, giving the pendant enough mass to hang stably without excessive sway from air movement.

The interwoven acrylic creates visual density when viewed from a distance but reveals individual strands and gaps on closer inspection, so the appearance shifts depending on viewing angle and light intensity. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs well with cool-toned contemporary interiors, stainless steel appliances and glass surfaces. The pendant accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to the wattage limit (sold separately), and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb.
