Description

Our Bohoyo LED Downlight is a compact black cylinder that sits on the ceiling and directs its light straight down. The body is aluminium in black, 11cm tall and 10cm across, and the LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or fit. Behind a clear plastic lens it gives 1,000 lumens at 3000K, a warm light that feels relaxed in the home rather than clinical. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms only.

That makes it a natural choice for kitchen ceilings, hallways, landings, living rooms and studies. Set a few in a line over the worktops or an island and you get focused light where you prepare food, while the simple round shape keeps the ceiling looking tidy. The black finish reads crisply against a white or pale ceiling and sits well with black handles, shelving and cabinet frames, so it suits anyone pulling together a modern, pared-back scheme. Inside, the LED is set well back within a black reflector, a neat detail that keeps the underside looking finished.

It runs from the mains at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and has no switch of its own, so it is switched at the wall like any other ceiling light.
