Description

The Bogado is an LED flush ceiling light made of two gold rings: a long oval and a smaller round loop that threads through it, both held close to the ceiling on a round gold plate. The body is steel in a gold-coloured finish, and a white plastic diffuser runs along each ring, so the light shows as one soft, continuous line. It measures 75cm long, 46.5cm wide and 12.5cm high. The LEDs are integrated, drawing 40W and giving 7,000 lumens. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

At only 12.5cm high, it suits a living room, a bedroom or a dining room where a pendant would hang too low, and it keeps a lower ceiling feeling open. 7,000 lumens is a generous output for a main ceiling light, so one fitting can light the whole room without a cluster of lamps. Because the colour of the light sets anywhere from a warm 2200K to a cool 6500K, the same fitting can be crisp and bright for reading or homework, then amber and low when you want to unwind.

The settings are made with the remote control that comes in the box: it dims the light and changes the colour temperature, and it takes a CR2032 battery. The light has no switch of its own; it is switched at the wall, so in everyday use the wall switch supplies the power and the remote handles the rest. It runs on 220 to 240V mains and carries an energy class of C. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Keep the remote somewhere handy, because it is how you dim the light and change its colour.
