Description

The head here is a lit ring, a slim circle of warm light carried on a narrow upright body, with a rocker switch set into the fitting so it can be worked on its own without touching the rest of the room. The ring measures 74mm across, and the whole thing sits tight against the wall rather than standing proud of it. Its LED is built in and draws 5W, giving a warm 3000K light with a gentle spread rather than a hard spot.

This is the sort of light we reach for beside a bed, where a bedside lamp would take up space on a table that has none to spare. It works just as well in a reading corner, either side of a mirror, or in a small home office where a task light is needed but the desk is already full. Because the switch is on the fitting itself, it suits guest rooms and shared bedrooms, where one person wants light and the other does not. The output is fixed, so pair it with a dimmed ceiling light if you want the whole room to soften.

The finish is a flat, chalky matt white with no shine to catch the eye, and the round base keeps the profile simple from every angle. To keep it looking right, wipe the body and the ring with a barely damp cloth when the light is off and cool, then dry it straight away; nothing abrasive, as scouring will mark a matt surface permanently. It is an indoor fitting for ordinary dry rooms, away from splashes.
