The Bicones is a 22cm diameter pendant light combining a matt white metal conical shade with a natural beech wood collar at the top, suspended from a white ceiling rose on an adjustable cable. The E27 bulb fitting sits inside the shade (bulb sold separately), directing light downwards with some upward spill through the open top where the beech collar meets the shade.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and breakfast bars, the Bicones suits installations where the pendant sits 60-80cm above the worktop or table surface. The adjustable cable allows the drop to be set anywhere from 22cm to 140cm during installation, meaning the same fitting works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m to 3.2m. The 22cm shade diameter provides focused light over a single-seat breakfast bar or small two-person dining table without overwhelming the space.

The beech wood collar is finished with a transparent lacquer that protects the wood while keeping the grain visible, creating a tonal contrast with the matt white powder-coated metal shade. What bulb does the Bicones take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately). Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or task lighting over a kitchen island.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The cable length is set during installation. The adjustable range is 22cm to 140cm, allowing the pendant to be positioned at the correct height above a table or worktop. Once installed, the cable cannot be adjusted without removing the ceiling rose.

Is the Bicones suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is designed for dry indoor use only and is not protected against moisture ingress. It should not be installed in bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor covered areas.

Does the beech wood vary between pieces?

Yes. Each beech collar is cut from natural wood, so the grain pattern and exact tone vary between individual pendants. The transparent lacquer finish preserves these natural variations rather than concealing them.
