Description

The Bianco is a 2-light crystal wall light with a polished chrome frame, Asfour crystal droplets and an integrated pull-cord switch below the backplate. Two curved chrome arms rise from a circular chrome backplate, each supporting a polished chrome candle sleeve with a clear crystal bobeche underneath. Faceted crystal spheres and teardrops hang from the arms and backplate on chrome wire, catching and refracting light from the two E14 candle bulbs.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and hallways with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower where a chandelier would overwhelm the proportions, the Bianco provides decorative accent lighting without dominating the wall. The 300mm width and 230mm projection suit alcoves flanking fireplaces, either side of a bed headboard, or as symmetrical pairs in a narrow hallway. The integrated pull-cord switch allows the wall light to be operated independently of a wall switch, useful in bedrooms where the wall light provides reading light while the main ceiling fitting stays off.

The polished chrome finish reflects both natural and artificial light, making the fitting appear brighter in daylight and amplifying candlelight from the bulbs at night. The Asfour crystal is machine-cut lead crystal with high refractive properties, producing prismatic colour when sunlight or direct bulb light passes through the facets. The chrome wire suspending each crystal piece allows the droplets to move slightly when air circulates in the room, creating gentle sparkle shifts. The fitting weighs 2kg and requires secure fixing into a wall stud or solid masonry with appropriate fixings.

The Bianco accepts optional clip-on fabric or crystal shades over the candle sleeves, allowing the fitting to be dressed differently depending on the room style. Without shades the candle bulbs remain visible, so decorative LED filament candle bulbs or traditional flame-tip bulbs suit the exposed aesthetic.
