Description

The Bevadoro is a slim LED clamp lamp in white with chrome details, 42.5cm tall, 6cm long and 2cm wide. Its arm rises from a compact base and sweeps forward in a long curve to a flat head, so the light falls down and ahead of the lamp rather than out into the room. The body is white plastic, finished with a polished chrome cap on the tip of the head and a thin chrome band where the arm meets the base. It gives 420lm, a focused amount of light for reading. The IP20 rating settles where it lives: indoors, in a dry room.

We picture it first beside a bed. Mounted on a headboard, it puts the light where a book is held, and a pair, one on each side, gives each sleeper a reading light of their own. Because the lamp sits on the headboard rather than the bedside table, the table stays free for a glass of water, a book and a phone. It works just as well over a desk in a study or a spare room, wherever a narrow, directed light suits better than a ceiling light.

Look closely and the white surface has a fine crackled grain, a little like soft leather, with a neat line tracing the edge of the head, so it reads as warmer than a plain gloss plastic. A power button sits on the front of the base, within easy reach of the pillow.
