Description

The Belvoro is a single pendant light built around two stacked spheres: a 100mm solid travertine ball in a light beige tone, sitting directly above a frosted opal glass globe of similar diameter. The travertine forms the structural top of the fitting, with a black ceiling fixing and brown braided cord running into its crown. A single G9 lamp inside the lower glass globe provides the light source.

At 200mm overall height and 100mm diameter, the Belvoro suits hallways, bedside positions in pairs flanking a bed, kitchen islands hung as a row of three or four, and small dining nooks. The compact diameter means it works in tighter spaces where a larger pendant would feel heavy, and the cord can be shortened on installation to set the drop appropriate to the room.

The travertine sphere shows the natural pitting, pores and tonal banding of the stone, so each piece varies slightly in marking and colour depth. The frosted glass below diffuses the G9 lamp into a soft, even glow without hot spots, and the material contrast between porous warm stone and smooth cool glass is the central design idea of the fitting. The brown cord is deliberately understated so the two spheres read as the focus.

What bulb does the Belvoro take?

The pendant takes a single G9 capsule bulb, which is sold separately. A warm white LED G9 between 2.5W and 4W at 2700K-3000K pairs well with the frosted glass globe and the warm tone of the travertine.

Will each travertine sphere look the same?

No. Travertine is a natural sedimentary stone, so the pitting, surface pores and tonal banding vary between individual pieces. Two Belvoro pendants hung side by side will share the same overall light beige character but will not be identical in marking.

Can the cord be shortened on installation?

Yes. The brown braided suspension cord is intended to be adjusted on fitting to suit the ceiling height and required drop. This is typically done by a qualified electrician at the point of installation.

How is the travertine cleaned?

Travertine is porous, so wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, which can stain or etch the surface. The frosted glass globe can be cleaned separately with a barely-damp cloth once the bulb has cooled.
