Belvora Travertine Capsule Pendant Light - Light Beige

The Belvora is a single pendant light with a 200mm tall, 100mm diameter capsule shade carved from a single block of light beige travertine. A rounded dome at the top transitions into a straight cylindrical body that opens at the base, where an E27 lamp holder sits recessed inside the stone. The shade hangs from a slim brown braided cord with a matt black ceiling cup and cord grip.

The compact 100mm diameter and downward-only light spread make the Belvora suited to clustered installations over kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in pairs or threes at staggered drops. A single pendant works well above a bedside table, in a hallway, or over a console. The narrow shade casts a focused pool of light directly below, so the fitting is best treated as task or accent lighting rather than as a primary ambient source.

Travertine is a natural sedimentary stone with open pores, fine speckling and soft tonal banding running through each shade. The light beige tone reads warm under both daylight and incandescent bulbs, and the matt surface keeps the texture of the stone visible without reflective glare. Because each shade is cut from a different section of stone, the pattern of pores and veining varies between pieces. The stone wall is thick enough to remain opaque from the outside while glowing softly along the lower rim when lit.

What bulb does the Belvora take?

The pendant uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-9W and 2700K-3000K suits the light beige stone and keeps the pendant cool in operation. Choose a bulb with a maximum diameter under 60mm so it sits inside the 100mm shade without protruding past the rim.

Is the cord length adjustable?

Yes, the braided cord can be shortened on installation to set the drop height required. Over a kitchen island, the base of the shade is typically set 700-800mm above the worktop; over a dining table, around 750-850mm above the surface.

Can the Belvora be hung in clusters?

The 100mm shade diameter makes the Belvora well-suited to multi-pendant installations. Common arrangements use three pendants spaced 350-450mm apart over an island, or pairs hung at staggered heights for a more sculptural composition. Each pendant requires its own ceiling outlet or a multi-outlet plate.

How is travertine cleaned and maintained?

Travertine is porous and softer than granite. Dust regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid household sprays, acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon) and abrasive pads, which can etch or stain the stone.
