Description

The Belfry is a 5 light chandelier with hand-forged metalwork inspired by medieval ironwork, finished in matt black. Five E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit on drip pans positioned around a 600mm-diameter metal ring, suspended by twisted metal arms that rise to a central column. The central column terminates in a 540mm chain that can be shortened during installation or removed entirely to convert the fitting to semi-flush mount.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the Belfry works both as a centrepiece over a dining table and as ambient lighting in larger open-plan spaces. The 600mm spread suits rooms 4-5m wide without overwhelming them, while the five bulbs provide enough upward and outward light distribution to fill the space. The chain allows the fitting to be set anywhere between 545mm and 820mm below the ceiling rose, letting installers tailor the drop to table height or ceiling proportion.

The black metalwork carries hand-forged details including twisted bar sections on each of the five arms, decorative rosette motifs where the arms meet the central ring, and lattice-pattern finials beneath each drip pan. The matt black finish sits somewhere between powder coat and traditional blacksmith's wax, giving a low-sheen surface that reads as wrought iron rather than painted steel. Each of the five arms supports a candle-style E14 lampholder with a metal drip pan, designed to accept candle bulbs up to 60W per socket.
