Description

The Belfry is a 2 light wall light in hand-forged black metal, featuring two curved arms that extend from a circular backplate decorated with a raised flower rosette. Each arm terminates in a candle-style drip pan holding an E14 bulb fitting, with a twisted basket-weave detail running down the lower section of each arm. A matching flower rosette sits at the top of the backplate where the arms meet.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms and living spaces with traditional, Gothic or period interiors, the Belfry provides balanced ambient light from two points without requiring a ceiling fitting. The 155mm projection from the wall positions the candle flames approximately 200mm apart, giving adequate spread for illuminating a passage or feature wall. The hand-forged construction gives each piece slight variation in the metalwork texture and finish.

The black metal frame is finished in a low-sheen textured coating that shows the hammer marks and forging detail in the metalwork. The basket-weave twist on each arm is entirely decorative but reinforces the medieval aesthetic and adds visual weight to the lower half of the fitting. Each arm accepts a standard E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing flexibility in choosing candle-style LED, filament or flame-effect bulbs depending on the desired light quality.

The circular backplate mounts flush to the wall via fixing points hidden behind the plate. On very uneven surfaces such as exposed brick or stonework, the backplate may not sit completely flat, which can be part of the aesthetic in period or rustic settings. On plasterboard or rendered walls the backplate sits flat.
