Description
Our Bazaar design is a traditional jute rug with a rustic look, hand woven as a flat weave from natural fibre. Its design runs in broad horizontal bands, each centred on a cream diamond medallion framed by stepped geometric shapes, and narrow zigzag borders run between them. The Multi colourway brings together soft sage green, dusty pink, charcoal, blue grey and cream over the warm tan of the jute, and a tasselled fringe finishes each short end. As a flat weave it has no pile, so it feels firm and textured underfoot rather than deep and soft.
It is made for the living room, where its muted colours sit comfortably with neutral sofas, wooden floors and other natural textures. We sell it in two sizes. The 120 by 170cm rug suits a smaller living room, or the space in front of an armchair or fireplace, while the 150 by 230cm rug is large enough to lay in front of a sofa and draw a seating area together around a coffee table. Its traditional, rustic character suits a cottage sitting room as well as more modern furniture.
Jute is a natural plant fibre, and because the rug is a flat weave there is no pile to flatten under the feet of a sofa or a chair. That makes it a sensible choice when you want pattern and texture on the floor without a thick, plush rug. Before you choose a size, measure the space and leave bare floor around the edges so the pattern has room to show.

Frequently Asked
What sizes does the Bazaar rug come in?
We sell it in two sizes: 120 by 170cm for a smaller living room or an armchair corner, and 150 by 230cm to lay in front of a sofa.
What is the rug made from?
It is made from jute, a natural plant fibre, and it is hand woven as a flat weave rather than given a pile.
How does it feel underfoot?
Being a flat weave with no pile, it feels firm and textured underfoot, with the natural character of jute rather than a soft, deep feel.
What colours are in the Multi colourway?
The Multi colourway mixes soft sage green, dusty pink, charcoal, blue grey and cream across the warm tan of the natural jute.
Which room is it best suited to?
It is made for the living room, where the larger size works in front of a sofa and the smaller size suits a reading corner or fireplace.
