Description

A slim polished chrome bar spreads light out sideways rather than gathering it into one spot. Three faux silk shades hang beneath it, each 40cm across, and the whole run measures 129cm end to end. The outer face is midnight black and the inner face green olive, so the black reads quietly from across the room while the olive warms whatever the light lands on. Each shade takes an E27 lamp.

This is the shape we suggest for a long dining table, a kitchen island or a run of worktop where one central pendant would leave the ends in shadow. Set a little above head height over a table, it gives even light down the length without the shades blocking the view across. It also earns its place in a hallway with height to spare, or over a long sideboard. The suspension adjusts over a good stretch, so it can hang low above a table or sit well clear of a walkway.

The bar, ceiling plate and rods are polished chrome, bright and reflective, while the shades are faux silk on both the outer and inner faces. Keep the fabric fresh with a soft brush or a lint roller, and bring the chrome back with a dry cloth rather than any spray or damp wipe. Steam and splashes are not its friend, so keep it to dry rooms well away from showers and hobs. It carries a one year warranty. The Baymont range continues in flush ceiling fittings, including a polished chrome version with a silver leaf shade if a lower profile suits the ceiling better, and we also stock the white flush fittings with frosted acrylic diffusers.
