Description

Three lamp holders sit along a slim antique brass bar, each dressed with its own small drum shade in taupe faux silk lined with halo gold. At 20cm across, the shades are modest enough to keep the row light on the eye, and the gold lining warms the light falling from below while the antique brass picks up the same tone above. It reads as a linear pendant rather than a chandelier: horizontal, quiet, and content to hang low over something. The shades match one another, so the effect is a repeated small form rather than one large one.

It suits a kitchen island, a run of worktop or a long dining table, where separate pools of light do more useful work than a single central fitting. The drop is adjustable across a wide span, so it can sit close beneath a low ceiling or fall properly into a taller room. We would fit LED golf ball lamps here, and it will dim if you pair suitable lamps with a compatible dimmer. It is one we reach for in narrow rooms where a broad shade would crowd the table.

The bar and ceiling plate are finished in antique brass, a softened gold with some depth to it rather than a bright plate. The shades are faux silk, so keep them dry and lift dust with a soft brush or the upholstery nozzle of a vacuum, working around the fabric rather than pressing into it; the brasswork asks for no more than an occasional pass with a dry duster. It carries a one year warranty.
