Description

The Basis Rot is a 22cm linear track light designed for Maytoni's magnetic Exility track system, housing a 12W integrated LED with adjustable colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 6000K cool white. The aluminium body in white finish mounts via magnetic attachment to the 48V DC Exility rail, allowing tool-free positioning and repositioning along the track. The head rotates vertically on its mounting axis, enabling light to be directed at walls, products, or downward onto surfaces.

Designed for retail, gallery, showroom and residential track lighting installations where adjustable colour temperature is needed, the Basis Rot allows a single fitting to deliver warm ambient light in the evening (2700K) or cooler task-focused light during working hours (6000K) without changing bulbs. DALI dimming protocol provides 0-100% output control when paired with a compatible DALI controller on the track circuit. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments only.

No. The Basis Rot is designed exclusively for Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system, which runs on 48V DC. It cannot be used with standard 3-circuit mains-voltage tracks or single-circuit track systems.

How is the colour temperature adjusted?

Colour temperature adjustment requires a DALI controller compatible with CCT (correlated colour temperature) tuning. The controller sends signals via the DALI protocol to shift the LED output between 2700K and 6000K. Without a CCT-capable controller, the fitting will operate at a fixed colour temperature determined by the driver settings.

Can the light head be angled?

Yes. The head rotates vertically on its mounting axis, allowing the light to be directed upward, downward, or at an angle toward walls or displayed objects. The rotation range is approximately 90 degrees from vertical.

What's the beam angle?
