Description

The Basis Rot is a 51cm linear track light with an integrated 24W 3000K LED, designed to fit single-phase track systems including Maytoni's Unity range. The fitting consists of a matt black aluminium housing containing a continuous LED strip behind a polycarbonate diffuser, mounted to a track adapter that allows the entire 51cm bar to swivel vertically through approximately 350 degrees.

Built for retail displays, gallery wall washing, kitchen worktop lighting and office task zones, the Basis Rot provides directional linear light rather than a focused spot. The 24W output at 3000K produces warm white light suited to product displays, artwork illumination and functional task areas where a softer tone is preferred over the cooler 4000K alternatives. The polycarbonate diffuser spreads light across the full 51cm length, reducing hot spots and creating a more even wash across vertical or horizontal surfaces.

The track adapter clips onto standard single-phase track rails and the entire bar can be rotated on installation to aim the light up, down or at an angle to the wall. The black aluminium body measures 51cm long by 3.3cm wide by 4.6cm high, giving a low-profile fit that works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations only.

The Basis Rot is designed for single-phase track rails, including Maytoni's Unity system and other compatible single-circuit track ranges. It will not fit three-phase track without an adapter.

Can the light direction be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The entire 51cm bar swivels vertically on the track adapter through approximately 350 degrees, allowing you to aim the light up, down or at an angle to walls or surfaces. The swivel can be adjusted by hand once the fitting is clipped onto the track.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 24W LED is integrated into the aluminium housing and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, which equates to around 10-12 years at typical commercial operating hours.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered areas?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near water sources, or any outdoor location including covered porches or canopies.
