Description

The Basis is a 22cm LED linear track light designed for installation on Maytoni Radity magnetic track systems, delivering 12W at 4000K neutral white with a 100° beam angle. The housing is powder-coated white aluminium with rounded edges and a flush-mounted LED panel behind a diffuser that softens the output and reduces glare from the source.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail displays and gallery walls, the Basis attaches magnetically to the Radity 48V DC track rail, allowing it to be repositioned along the track length without tools or re-wiring. The 100° beam provides broad wash coverage across work surfaces, wall art or merchandise displays rather than a narrow spotlight effect. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm and cool white, rendering colours accurately without the amber cast of 3000K or the clinical tone of 5000K.

The aluminium body measures 222mm long by 26mm wide by 29mm tall, giving it a low profile that sits close to the track without dominating the ceiling line. The white powder coat finish pairs with white or light-coloured ceilings and architectural trim. The IP20 rating confines use to dry indoor environments — not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or damp storage areas.

Does it work with standard mains voltage track systems?

No. The Basis requires a Maytoni Radity magnetic track system operating at 48V DC. It will not attach to or operate on standard 240V mains track lighting rails such as three-circuit or single-circuit track systems.

Can the light be repositioned once installed?

Yes. The magnetic attachment allows the light to be moved along the Radity track without tools or switching off the power. This makes it simple to adjust lighting positions as room layouts or display arrangements change.

What beam angle does it provide?

The Basis has a 100° beam angle, providing broad wash coverage rather than a narrow spotlight. This suits task lighting across work surfaces, even illumination of gallery walls, or general ambient light in retail and domestic settings.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the housing and is not user-replaceable. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty covering the LED and driver. At end of life, the entire unit is replaced.
