Description

The Basis is a 604mm linear LED track light built around an extruded aluminium housing finished in white, designed to clip onto Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system. The integrated 24W LED array inside the 22mm-wide body delivers 4000K cool white light along the full length of the fitting, providing continuous even illumination without visible hotspots or dark zones.

Designed for commercial and residential spaces where linear accent or task lighting is needed on a reconfigurable track system, the Basis suits retail display lighting, gallery walls, kitchen worktop lighting, office desking runs, and workshop benches. The magnetic connection allows the fitting to be repositioned or removed from the track without tools, so lighting layouts can be adjusted as room use changes. The 48V DC supply reduces heat buildup compared to mains-voltage track systems and allows longer runs without voltage drop.

The white powder-coated aluminium housing stays cool to the touch during operation and integrates cleanly into white or light-coloured ceilings without visual contrast. At 44mm high and 22mm wide, the profile is low enough to sit unobtrusively on the track while still housing the LED driver and diffuser internally. The 4000K colour temperature provides neutral white light that supports accurate colour rendering in retail, design studios and food preparation areas without the yellow cast of warmer LEDs.

No. The Basis is designed specifically for Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system operating at DC 48V. It will not fit standard mains-voltage track systems or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks without confirmation of compatibility.

Can the fitting be repositioned once installed?

Yes. The magnetic connection allows the Basis to be moved along the track or removed entirely without tools. This makes it easy to reconfigure lighting layouts as room use changes or to adjust beam positions for displays and artwork.

What colour temperature is the light?

The integrated LED delivers 4000K cool white light. This is a neutral white that sits between warm white (2700-3000K) and daylight white (5000K+), providing clear visibility for task work and accurate colour rendering without a pronounced warm or cool tone.

Is it suitable for bathroom or outdoor use?
