The Basis Grid is a 22cm linear LED track light designed for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system, housing a 12W integrated LED behind a honeycomb anti-glare grid. The white aluminium body measures 22.2cm long by 2.6cm wide and projects 2.9cm from the track when fitted, with the internal grid structure controlling beam spread and reducing direct glare from the LED source.

Designed for accent and task lighting on magnetic track systems, the Basis Grid suits kitchens where directed light is needed over worktops or islands, retail environments highlighting merchandise, and gallery or office spaces requiring adjustable directional lighting. The magnetic attachment allows the fitting to be repositioned along the track without tools, and the 48V DC low-voltage operation means multiple fittings can be added to a single track run without overloading domestic circuits. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light comparable to halogen sources.

The honeycomb grid inside the white housing acts as both an anti-glare louvre and a visual detail, creating a defined rectangular beam pattern rather than a wide flood. The aluminium construction dissipates heat from the 12W LED without requiring external cooling fins, keeping the profile compact. What track system is this compatible with?

The Basis Grid is designed specifically for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system, which operates at 48V DC. It will not fit standard mains voltage track lighting systems or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks without confirming voltage and connector compatibility.

Can the fitting be repositioned after installation?

Yes. The magnetic attachment allows the fitting to be moved along the track without tools. Position it where light is needed, and the magnetic connection holds it in place while maintaining electrical contact with the track.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 12W LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, which translates to around 10-15 years at typical residential usage levels. The 5-year warranty covers LED failure within that period.

What does the honeycomb grid do?

The internal honeycomb grid reduces direct view of the LED source, cutting glare when the fitting is viewed from below or the side. It also controls the beam spread, creating a more defined rectangular light pattern rather than a wide wash.
