The Basis Grid is a 6W LED linear track light designed for magnetic track systems, with a black aluminium housing measuring 116mm long and a grid-patterned aperture that shapes the 4000K LED output into directional cool white light. The fitting mounts magnetically onto Maytoni Radity DC 48V track rails and rotates on its axis to angle light across work surfaces, product displays, or architectural features.

Designed for retail, gallery, kitchen and office environments where adjustable task lighting is needed, the Basis Grid pairs magnetic mounting with rotary adjustment to create a reconfigurable lighting layout. The 6W LED delivers focused illumination without the heat load or glare of halogen track fittings, making it suitable for illuminating temperature-sensitive products, textiles, or surfaces where direct close-range lighting is required. The magnetic connection allows the fitting to be repositioned along the track without tools.

The grid structure at the aperture reduces direct view of the LED source and shapes the beam pattern into a controlled oval distribution. The black aluminium finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping the fitting visually recessive when installed on black or dark grey track rails. The DC 48V supply runs through the track itself, eliminating separate mains wiring to each fitting and simplifying installation where multiple track lights are needed on a single circuit. IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry interior use only.

What track system does this fit?

The Basis Grid is designed for Maytoni Radity magnetic track systems running DC 48V. It will not fit standard mains-voltage track rails or other manufacturers' magnetic systems without confirming voltage and connector compatibility.

Can the light direction be adjusted?

Yes. The fitting rotates on its magnetic mount, allowing the beam direction to be angled along the track axis. It does not tilt perpendicular to the track, only rotates in line with the rail.

What colour temperature is the LED?

The integrated LED is 4000K, which produces cool white light with a neutral tone suited to task lighting, retail display and workspaces. This is cooler and whiter than 3000K warm white.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the Maytoni Radity track power supply and control system. The fitting itself is compatible with dimming if the DC 48V supply supports it. Contact us to confirm dimmer compatibility for your specific track controller.
