Description

The Basis Grid is a 116mm linear track light with an integrated 6W LED producing 4000K cool white output, designed specifically for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system. The white aluminium housing measures 28mm high by 26mm wide and contains a rotary adjustment mechanism that allows the head to be angled along its axis, directing the light beam left or right without removing the fitting from the track.

Designed for kitchen worktop lighting, retail display shelving, office task zones and gallery wall washing, the Basis Grid pairs focused directional output with the flexibility of magnetic track mounting. The fitting clips magnetically onto the Radity 48V DC track and can be repositioned along the track length without tools or re-wiring. The 4000K colour temperature provides crisp, neutral white light that renders colours accurately for task work and product display.

The grid structure visible inside the aperture acts as a honeycomb louver, reducing glare and controlling beam spread to prevent light spill onto adjacent surfaces. The aluminium body dissipates heat efficiently, extending LED lifespan, and the white powder-coated finish matches standard ceiling tones in residential and commercial interiors. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments.

Is this compatible with standard 240V mains track systems?

No. The Basis Grid operates on 48V DC and is designed exclusively for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system. It will not fit or function on standard 240V mains track rails.

Can the light head be rotated?

Yes. The fitting contains a rotary adjustment mechanism that allows the head to be angled along its length axis, directing the beam left or right. The fitting itself can also be repositioned anywhere along the magnetic track without tools.

What does the grid structure do?

The grid visible inside the aperture acts as a honeycomb louver, reducing glare and controlling beam spread. This prevents light spill onto adjacent surfaces and makes the fitting more comfortable to view from typical working angles.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered areas?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Basis Grid to dry indoor environments only. It is not rated for bathrooms, kitchens splash zones, or any outdoor use even under cover.
