Description

The Basis is a 304mm linear track light with an integrated 12W LED, DALI dimming control, and adjustable colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 6000K cool white. The fitting is designed for the Magnetic Exility track system, a low-voltage DC 48V recessed track that allows lights to be repositioned along the run without tools. The white aluminium body measures 304mm long by 23mm wide by 44mm high, with a linear diffuser that spreads light evenly along its length.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) allows individual control of brightness and colour temperature from a compatible controller, making this suitable for retail displays, gallery walls, office desks, and residential kitchens where lighting needs change throughout the day. The adjustable colour temperature means the same fitting can provide warm 2700K light for evening relaxation or cool 6000K light for focused task work, without changing the bulb. Can this be used on standard track lighting systems?

No. The Basis is designed specifically for the Magnetic Exility recessed track system, which operates on DC 48V and uses magnetic clips for mounting. It is not compatible with standard three-circuit mains track systems.

How do I change the colour temperature?

Colour temperature is controlled via the DALI system. With a compatible controller or wall panel, you can select any temperature between 2700K and 6000K. The adjustment is stepless, not preset positions.
