Description

The Basis is a 604mm linear track light with an integrated 24W LED strip running at 3000K colour temperature, designed to mount onto Maytoni's magnetic Exility track systems. The matt black aluminium body houses an edge-lit diffuser panel that casts warm white light downwards and along the length of the fitting, providing continuous task or ambient light across worksurfaces, retail displays or gallery walls.

Designed for use on 48V DC magnetic track rail, the Basis clips onto the track at any position along the run without tools or wiring adjustments, and can be repositioned as needed once the track is powered. The 604mm length suits installation above kitchen counters, retail counters, and feature walls where linear light is needed without the bulk or power demand of traditional fluorescent battens. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor use.

The aluminium body measures 22mm wide and 44mm deep when mounted, giving a low-profile linear form that sits close to the track without protruding significantly into the room. The Basis is designed specifically for Maytoni's magnetic Exility 48V DC track rail. It will not fit standard 240V mains track systems or third-party magnetic track rails from other manufacturers. The Exility track system must be purchased separately.

Can the light be repositioned once installed?

Yes. The magnetic mounting allows the Basis to be clipped onto the track at any position along the powered rail and repositioned without tools or wiring changes. This is useful for adjusting lighting layout as room use changes.
