Description

The Basis is a 33cm linear LED track light designed for Radity magnetic track systems, housing an integrated 16W 3000K LED inside a white aluminium body. The light slots into Radity's 48V DC magnetic tracks without tools or additional fixings, allowing repositioning along the track after installation. The 100° beam angle casts broad, even illumination across horizontal surfaces.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail displays and gallery walls where linear light distribution is needed, the Basis delivers 330mm of continuous warm white light. The magnetic mounting system means multiple Basis units can be added, removed or repositioned on the same track without re-wiring, giving flexibility as room layouts change. The track itself is sold separately as part of Maytoni's Radity magnetic system.

The aluminium housing measures 28mm high and 25mm wide, giving a low-profile presence once mounted. The white finish pairs with white or neutral ceilings to minimise visual break between the fitting and the ceiling plane. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light comparable to halogen, while the high CRI rating (see Specification) renders colours and textures accurately under the beam.

Does this work with standard track systems?

No. The Basis requires Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system, which runs on 48V DC. It will not fit or function on standard 230V mains track systems. The Radity track is sold separately.

Can the light be repositioned once installed?

Yes. The magnetic mounting allows the Basis to be slid along the track and repositioned without tools or re-wiring. This makes it simple to adjust lighting as furniture or displays change.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the Radity track system's driver and controls. The LED itself is compatible with dimming when paired with a suitable dimmer module in the track power supply. Contact us to confirm compatibility with your specific setup.

What's the IP rating and where can it be used?

The Basis carries an IP20 rating, meaning it's suitable for dry indoor environments only. It should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens directly above hobs or sinks, or any outdoor location.
