Description

The Basis is a 222mm linear LED track light designed for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track systems, housing an integrated 12W LED in a white aluminium body. The light runs on DC 48V supplied through the magnetic track, eliminating the need for mains wiring at each fitting. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light suited to residential and hospitality environments.

Magnetic track systems allow fittings to be positioned and repositioned along the track without tools or re-wiring, making the Basis useful in galleries, retail displays, kitchens and feature wall installations where lighting needs change over time. The white finish sits flush with white or light-painted ceilings, reducing visual clutter in minimalist interiors. At 222mm long and 26mm wide, the Basis provides directional accent light rather than broad ambient coverage.

The aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at under 200g, allowing multiple units to be installed on a single track run without overloading the magnetic rail. The IP20 rating limits the Basis to dry indoor use only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or other moisture-exposed locations. The 5-year warranty covers both the LED module and the driver electronics within the fitting.

What track system does this fit?

The Basis is designed exclusively for Maytoni Radity magnetic track systems running on DC 48V. It will not fit standard three-circuit tracks or other manufacturers' magnetic systems without verifying voltage and connector compatibility first.

Can the light be repositioned once installed?

Yes. Magnetic track fittings attach and detach from the rail without tools. The Basis can be slid along the track or removed and repositioned elsewhere on the same track run while the system is powered off.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the Radity track system's power supply. If the track driver supports dimming via wall control or remote, the Basis will dim accordingly. The fitting itself does not have an on-board dimmer.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Basis is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, wet rooms, outdoor covered areas or anywhere exposed to moisture or splashing.
