Description

Baroni is a table lamp in anthracite. A wide shallow opal glass dish, flat across the top and turning down at its outer edge, sitting over a deeper opal bowl so the two read as a plate on a cup. Light escapes as a bright ring where the dish overhangs the bowl as well as glowing through both. A slim dark grey stem drops from the bowl to a low round base of the same grey, with a small control let into its top face. The glass is warm white and evenly diffusing. There is no flex, so the lamp is meant to be picked up and carried. It measures 22cm across and 26cm tall, in aluminium, metal and acrylic.

It is a lamp to carry: a side table indoors, then a garden table, a balcony rail or a step by the back door once the evening is warm enough to sit out. Rated IP44, it will take rain and splashing while it is out there, though it is meant to come back in rather than be left through the winter. Running off its own battery is what makes that possible: there is no flex to find a socket for and nothing to trip over on a terrace.

It carries a G energy label. It runs on a 4000mAh battery and charges in about 4-6 hours, so it can be carried from room to room.
