The Bari 1 is a slim wall light in white, with a white plastic body and a long shade of grooved white glass between rounded end caps. It is 35cm long and 6cm wide, and it stands just 8.5cm out from the wall, so it fits neatly beside a mirror or along a narrow stretch of wall. It takes two E14 bulbs of up to 25W each. The bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour of light yourself. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room, well away from splashing water.

Grooved glass softens and spreads light, so it gives a gentle, even glow along the wall rather than a hard point of brightness. That makes it a good choice wherever you want clear, flattering light at face height, such as beside a dressing table mirror, in a bedroom, along a hallway or at the top of the stairs.
