Description

Three slender arms curve out from a central stem, each carrying its own small drum shade in taupe faux silk with a halo gold lining that warms the light as it falls. The metalwork is finished in champagne gold, soft and low in shine rather than brassy, and the fitting measures 50cm across. The drop adjusts, so it can sit up close under a modest ceiling or hang well down over a table.

We reach for a multi arm pendant like this where one shade alone would look mean: over a long dining table, in a wide hallway, or centred in a square sitting room. The shades throw light in more than one direction, and the fabric keeps it soft enough for evenings at the table. Each socket takes an E14 candle lamp, and we would fit LED candles here. Dimming is possible if you choose dimmable lamps and pair them with a wall dimmer.

The shades are dual layered faux silk, taupe on the outside and gold within, so the outer face stays quiet in daylight while the lining lifts the colour of the light. Keep them clean with a soft brush or the upholstery head of a vacuum, working gently around the seams, and give the champagne gold arms an occasional wipe with a dry cloth. It is intended for dry rooms indoors, well clear of bathing areas and anywhere steam gathers. It carries a one year warranty. With the shades already doing the work overhead, we would keep the rest of the room simple: a plain wall light or two, and warm table lamps rather than cool ones. Lamps are not included.
