Description

Three slim arms curve out from a central stem in champagne gold, and above them sits one wide dual faux silk shade in raw cocoa and grecian bronze. The candle lamps tuck up under the fabric, so what you see is a broad band of warm colour with light washing down onto the surface below. At 50cm across it reads as a generous drum, wide enough to carry the arm spread without looking crowded, and the suspension adjusts over a long range so it can hang low and intimate or sit up closer to the ceiling.

We would hang this over a dining table, where the shade width covers a round or rectangular top nicely and a lower drop keeps the glow on the plates. It suits a sitting room or a wide hallway just as well, particularly where painted walls and timber need something soft to warm them up. It takes three E14 candle lamps, which we would fill with LED candles for the least heat under the fabric. Dimming is possible where you fit dimmable lamps and run them from a dimmer, which is not supplied with the pendant.

The frame and arms are metal in a champagne gold finish, warm-toned rather than brassy, and the shade is fabric over a formed drum. Keep it to indoor rooms and away from steam, as faux silk marks if it gets damp. For cleaning, a lint roller or a soft brush lifts dust from the fabric without dragging the weave, and the metal only wants a dry wipe now and then. It carries a one year warranty. The gold and cocoa pairing sits happily with walnut, rattan and deep greens, and the multi arm shape gives more presence than a plain drum on a single flex. Lamps are not included.
