Description
The Bangkok is a 25cm pendant light combining a matt black metal canopy and cable suspension with a smoky tinted glass dome shade. An integrated 12W 3000K LED sits inside the glass, casting warm white light downward through the smoked tint. The glass itself acts as the diffuser, softening the LED source and creating a pool of directed ambient light below the fitting.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and low-ceilinged spaces where compact pendants are needed, the Bangkok works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upward. The adjustable cable allows the pendant to hang anywhere from 57.8cm to 348cm below the ceiling rose, making it adaptable to varied installation contexts. A 57.8cm drop suits kitchens with ceiling heights around 2.4-2.5m, while the full 348cm extension works in double-height entrance halls or stairwells.
The smoky glass provides a tonal contrast against the matt black metalwork, and the tint reduces glare from the LED while maintaining downward light output. The black canopy measures approximately 10cm diameter and conceals the ceiling rose and cable entry point. The IP20 rating limits the Bangkok to dry indoor use — hallways, living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms rather than bathrooms or outdoor areas.
The 12W LED output at 3000K provides the equivalent of a 75-100W incandescent bulb in a warm white tone, sufficient for a dining table up to 1.8m in length or a kitchen island seating position. The integrated LED cannot be replaced, but the 3-year manufacturer guarantee covers LED failure within that period.

Frequently Asked
Can the LED be replaced if it fails?
The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced by the end user. However, the Bangkok carries a 3-year manufacturer guarantee covering LED failure within that period. Contact Niori if the LED fails within warranty.
What installation height works best for a dining table?
For a standard dining table the pendant should hang 70-80cm above the table surface. With a typical table height of 75cm and ceiling height of 2.4m, this means setting the adjustable cable to around 85-95cm drop from the ceiling rose.
Is the smoky glass dark enough to hide the LED bulb shape?
The smoky tint reduces glare and softens the appearance of the LED module inside the glass dome, but the internal light source remains visible when the pendant is switched on. This is typical of smoked glass pendants and part of the design aesthetic.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Bangkok is only suitable for dry indoor locations. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher for zones near baths, showers and basins.
