Description

The Balance is a 5 light chandelier built on a polished brass cross-beam frame with five cylindrical brown fabric shades, each housing an E27 bulb fitting behind an acrylic diffuser. The shades are lined with white laminate to reflect light back through the diffuser and increase output. The central shade sits lower than the four outer shades, creating a tiered profile across the 535mm diameter.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and double-height hallways with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the chandelier provides five points of downward-directed light suitable for illuminating a table or floor space beneath. The minimum drop of 350mm allows the fitting to work in standard-height ceilings when shortened on installation, while the maximum drop accommodates taller rooms. The polished brass frame includes exposed horizontal arms that connect each shade to the central stem.

The brown fabric shades pair the warm metallic tone of the polished brass with a darker textile finish that absorbs ceiling light and focuses output downwards. The acrylic diffusers soften the light from each bulb, reducing glare when viewed from the side. Each E27 socket accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), giving control over colour temperature and brightness depending on room use.

Can the drop be adjusted?

Yes. The drop is adjustable on installation by shortening the cable and chain inside the central stem. The fitting can be set anywhere between the minimum 350mm and the maximum drop depending on ceiling height and the intended clearance beneath.

Are the shades cleanable?

The fabric shades can be gently vacuumed with a soft brush attachment or wiped with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid water or cleaning sprays as fabric absorbs moisture and may stain.
