Description

The Axis is a 2.6m linear suspension light carrying 27 Spanish alabaster spheres along a slim matte black horizontal bar. Each 130mm alabaster ball is mounted in a staggered arrangement above and below the bar, with G9 lamps inside each sphere lighting the natural stone from within. The mineral veining in every shade is different, so the bar reads as a row of softly glowing pebbles rather than identical glass globes.

At 2600mm long, the Axis is built for long dining tables seating eight or more, kitchen islands of 2.4m and over, conference tables, and open-plan rooms where a single fitting needs to span a generous surface. The bar suspends from four cable drops with a 1500mm adjustable cable length, allowing it to hang at the typical 700-800mm above a worktop or table. The 320mm overall height includes the projection of the alabaster spheres above and below the central bar.

The matte black bar disappears against darker ceilings and recedes visually against pale ones, leaving the alabaster as the dominant element. Construction is solid copper finished in matte black, with each alabaster sphere hand-cut from natural Spanish stone. The off-axis arrangement of the 27 shades introduces visual rhythm along the length without breaking the clean horizontal line of the bar itself.
