This AV:Link wireless remote control socket set gives you three plug-in receivers and a handheld remote, so you can switch appliances on and off without reaching the wall socket. Each receiver plugs into a standard 240V mains outlet, and you can turn it on manually at the socket itself or by pressing the matching channel button on the remote. The buttons control each socket individually, so you decide exactly what runs and when.

The self-learning design lets you pair any one transmitter with any one receiver, which means you can buy extra sockets or a second remote later and match them to what you already own. That makes the set easy to grow around your home as your needs change. Leaving an appliance on standby can still draw up to 70% of its full power and can shorten its working life, so being able to cut the supply cleanly helps you save energy and look after your kit.

It is a practical choice for lamps, heaters, TVs and other electrical devices, and it works well for appliances in awkward or hard to reach places. It also suits anyone with limited mobility who would rather not bend down to a floor socket. Each receiver handles a maximum load of 13A/3120W and works on a 433.92MHz transmission frequency. The remote (US: clicker) reaches up to 30m in line of sight and takes a 12V (23A) battery, which is included in the box.
