This AV:Link extension lead runs USB 3.0 Type-C from a plug to a socket, giving you an extra 1.5m of reach for your existing cable. It's a simple way to extend the connection you already use for syncing and charging Type-C devices, so you don't have to move your kit closer to the port or leave a laptop perched awkwardly beside a wall socket.

The Type-C connector is reversible, which means it goes in the right way whichever way up you hold it. There's no fiddling or flipping the plug to find the correct orientation. On the data side the lead supports transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps, so file syncing stays quick, and it also passes charge through to the connected device, though charging runs at a reduced rate compared with a direct connection.

At 1.5m long with a 4.5mm cable diameter, this lead is flexible enough to route neatly across a desk or behind a monitor, and at 46g it adds very little to your setup.
