This AV:Link cable connects a pair of RCA phono outputs to a pair of RCA phono inputs, with an extra ground wire included in the run. RCA is often called phono in the UK and RCA in the US, so you may see either name used for the same connector. It is a straightforward audio lead for linking source equipment to an amplifier or receiver.

The ground wire is the reason this cable suits turntables in particular. A record deck usually needs a separate earth connection to stop hum, and this cable carries that ground line alongside the two audio channels. You connect the two phono plugs to the left and right channels, then attach the ground wire to the earth terminal on your amplifier or phono stage. That covers the full connection in one go, without hunting for a separate earth lead.
