AV:Link RJ11 Plug to 2 x RJ11 Socket Splitter

The AV:Link RJ11 splitter connects a single RJ11 plug to two RJ11 sockets, allowing two telephone or data devices to share one outlet. The adapter supports standard 6P4C RJ11 wiring used in telephone and ADSL modem connections, with passive pass-through that requires no external power.

Designed for residential and small office use where a single telephone line needs to feed two devices. Such as a landline phone and an ADSL modem, or two separate phone handsets in different rooms connected via extension cable. The splitter fits USA and Southern Ireland telephone outlet standards, and the compact form factor allows it to sit flush against a wall plate without blocking adjacent sockets.

The adapter weighs 11g and measures approximately 40mm across the face, small enough to fit in tight spaces behind furniture or along skirting board cable runs. The two output sockets are wired in parallel, so both devices receive the same signal simultaneously. This is a passive splitter with no filtering or switching. Both outputs are always active when the input plug is connected to a live line.

Can this be used for ADSL broadband?

Yes. The splitter supports ADSL modem connections and is commonly used to connect a modem and a landline phone to the same telephone outlet. Both devices will share the line. If the phone is in use, it may affect broadband performance temporarily.

Does it work with UK BT telephone sockets?

This splitter uses RJ11 connectors, which are standard in the USA and Southern Ireland. UK BT telephone outlets use a different connector type (BT431A). To use this splitter with a UK socket, you would need a BT to RJ11 adapter between the wall socket and this splitter.

Are both outputs active at the same time?

Yes. The two RJ11 sockets are wired in parallel, so both receive the same signal simultaneously. This is a passive splitter with no switching or filtering. When the input plug is connected to a live line, both outputs are live.
