Description
This AV:Link set gives you five wireless remote control sockets and a programmable, self-learning transmitter. Each socket receiver plugs into a standard mains outlet, and you switch it on or off either at the socket itself or from across the room using the remote. The buttons on the transmitter control the corresponding sockets individually, so you can run one appliance at a time or several together without moving from your seat.
Because the remote uses a self-learning design, you can pair any one transmitter with any one socket receiver, and add more transmitters or receivers later as your needs change. This makes the set easy to expand, whether you want to control lamps in a spare room or manage a group of devices from a single handset. The receivers work well for appliances in awkward spots, such as behind furniture or up high, and they suit anyone who finds it hard to reach a plug directly.
Leaving an appliance on standby can still draw up to 70% of its full power and shorten its working life by around 15%, so switching things off fully at the socket helps cut waste. The sockets handle a maximum load of 13A (3120W) at 240V/50Hz, and the remote operates on a 433.92MHz frequency with a range of up to 30 metres line of sight. A 12V (23A) battery is included with the remote, so you can set things up straight away.
