Description
The AV:Link MPJM40 is a compact mount for the latest micro projectors, though it also works with digital cameras and camcorders. It uses a universal 1/4"-20 thread that fits most current micro projectors, so you can pair it with a wide range of kit. You can fix it to a ceiling or a wall, whichever suits your room and where you want the picture to land. The design is strong but light, weighing just 370g on its own and holding up to 5kg.
A telescopic mounting rod gives you drop adjustment from 350 to 500mm, so you can set the height to match your ceiling and throw distance. The rod also has internal cable routing, which keeps the power and video leads tidy and out of view. On top of that, the supplied ball joint fixing lets you tilt the projector from -10 to +85°, useful for sideways or angled setups where a straight downward drop won't do. Between the drop range and the tilt, you have plenty of scope to line the image up properly.
The mount is finished in satin black and comes with fixing plugs and screws, along with the rest of the installation hardware, so you have what you need to get it up in one go. The base measures 120mm across for a steady footing. It suits home, leisure and business use, whether that's a projector in a spare room, a camera at a venue or a fixed camcorder position. If you're mounting a small projector and want a neat, adjustable fit, this is a sensible option.
