Description

The AV:Link F-Type satellite module is a 50 x 25mm clip-in wall plate insert carrying a single F-Type screw coupler for satellite and cable TV connections. The module accepts a male F-Type connector on the front face and connects to the corresponding cable on the reverse, acting as a through-coupler that brings the satellite signal from the back box to the wall surface without exposing cable terminations.

Designed for modular wall plate systems in domestic, commercial and educational installations, the module clips into compatible AV:Link frames (122.500UK single-gang and 122.505UK double-gang frames, sold separately). This allows satellite, HDMI, USB, network and other AV connections to be combined in a single faceplate rather than requiring multiple separate wall plates. The F-Type screw thread provides a secure connection that resists accidental disconnection compared to push-fit coaxial connectors.

The white plastic housing measures 50 x 25 x 20mm and weighs 75g. The nickel-plated F-Type coupler sits flush with the module face, allowing standard satellite cables with pre-fitted F-Type connectors to screw directly into the wall plate. The rear of the module accepts the incoming cable from the distribution amplifier or LNB feed, which is also terminated with an F-Type connector and screws onto the reverse thread of the coupler.

What wall plate frame does this fit?

The module clips into AV:Link modular frames 122.500UK (single-gang) and 122.505UK (double-gang). These frames accept multiple 50x25mm modules and fix to a standard UK back box.

Is the F-Type connector compatible with Sky and Freesat cables?

Yes. The F-Type screw connector is the standard fitting for satellite TV installations including Sky, Sky Q, Freesat and Virgin Media cable connections. Any cable with a male F-Type connector will screw into this module.

Does it require soldering or cable prep?

No. Both the front and rear connections use screw-on F-Type fittings. The incoming cable from the back box needs to be fitted with an F-Type connector (compression or crimp type), which then screws onto the rear of the coupler inside the module.
