Description

The AV:Link coaxial keystone module is a 50mm x 25mm clip-in coupler designed to terminate digital TV aerial cables behind a modular wall plate. The module accepts a standard male coaxial connector on both front and rear faces, creating a through-connection that allows an aerial cable to be run from a rooftop antenna or distribution point through the wall cavity to a TV or set-top box on the other side.

The module clips into AV:Link modular wall plate frames (models 122.500UK and 122.505UK, sold separately), which accept between one and four keystone modules in a single or double-gang faceplate. This allows coaxial, HDMI, Ethernet and audio connections to be combined in a single wall plate installation. The module is commonly used in living rooms, bedrooms and offices where aerial cables need to be concealed rather than surface-run along skirting boards.

The white finish matches standard UK wall plates and blends into most residential and commercial interiors. At 16g and 31mm depth, the module fits into standard 35mm back boxes without requiring deeper housings. The coaxial couplers inside the module are passive. They do not amplify or attenuate the signal, so signal loss is minimal across the connection.

Does it amplify the aerial signal?

No. The module is a passive coupler. It connects the cable on one side to the cable on the other without amplifying or boosting the signal. Signal loss across the connection is minimal.

What back box depth is needed?

The module is 31mm deep and fits into standard 35mm UK back boxes. The wall plate frame adds approximately 10mm of front projection once fitted.

Can it be used for satellite connections?

The module is designed for digital TV aerial connections using standard coaxial connectors. Satellite connections use the same connector type, so the module is physically compatible, but check that your satellite system does not require a connection with DC voltage pass-through for LNB power.
