Description

This AV:Link Cat6 patch lead connects two RJ45 sockets over a 5.0m run, giving you a reliable wired network link between devices. It uses a stranded copper conductor rated at 25AWG, made up of seven 0.18mm strands, which keeps the cable flexible enough to route around desks and cabinets without kinking. The overall diameter is 6.0mm, so it sits neatly along skirting boards or through cable management.

Built to Cat6 standard, this lead (also called a patch cable or patch cord in the US) supports frequencies up to 250 MHz and handles high-speed data transmission up to 1,000Mbps, which is 1Gbps. It works with PCs, printers, servers, routers and switch boxes, and stays fully backwards compatible with your existing network, so you can add it to older kit without any issues.

The snag-less design means the RJ45 plugs slot in and out cleanly, with the moulded boot protecting the release clip from catching or snapping. AV:Link builds these cables for uniform impedance, very low return loss and a higher signal-to-noise ratio, so your connection stays steady during heavy use. Shorter lengths in the range come in a sealed retail bag, keeping the cable tidy and protected until you need it. It is a straightforward choice for home and office setups where a dependable wired connection matters more than a wireless one.
