Description

This is a Cat6 UTP Ethernet patch lead (patch cable) from AV:Link, terminated with an RJ45 plug at each end and measuring 30 metres. It uses a stranded copper conductor built from 7 strands of 0.18mm wire, giving 25AWG, which keeps the cable flexible enough to route around desks, floors and cabinets. The overall diameter is 6.0mm, so it sits neatly along skirting boards or through cable runs.

The lead supports frequencies of up to 250MHz and handles high-speed data transmission of up to 1,000Mbps, which is 1Gbps. It is built for uniform impedance, very low return loss and a higher signal-to-noise ratio, all of which help keep your connection steady over the full length. The snag-less design protects the retaining clip on the plug, so it won't catch or snap when you pull the lead back out of a port.

You can use this cable with PCs, printers, servers, routers, switch boxes and more, and it stays fully backwards compatible with your existing network hardware. That means you can drop it into a Cat5 or Cat5e setup without any trouble. Shorter lengths in the range are supplied in a retail-friendly sealed bag, and at 30 metres this longer run suits linking rooms, reaching a distant workstation or connecting kit across a larger space.

We stock this lead as part of a wider range of AV:Link networking cables in several lengths, so you can match the run to the job at hand.
