Description
This AV:Link Cat6 patch lead connects two devices over a wired network using RJ45 plugs at each end. It carries data at speeds of up to 1,000Mbps (1Gbps) and supports frequencies up to 250 MHz, which makes it a sensible choice for everyday networking as well as high-speed data transmission. At 3.0 metres, it gives you enough reach to route the cable neatly between a router and a nearby device.
The lead uses a stranded copper conductor, built from seven strands of 0.18mm wire in a 25AWG gauge. This construction keeps the cable flexible and easy to run around corners and behind furniture. The snag-less design means the plug clips are protected, so they won't catch or break as you pull the cable through a bundle. It is an unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable with an overall diameter of 6.0mm.
You can use this patch lead with PCs, printers, servers, routers, switch boxes and more, and it stays fully backwards compatible with your existing network hardware. The Cat6 design is made for uniform impedance, very low return loss and a higher signal-to-noise ratio, all of which help keep your connection stable. Shorter lengths in the range arrive in a sealed retail bag.

Frequently Asked
What speed does this cable support?
It supports data transmission of up to 1,000Mbps (1Gbps) and frequencies up to 250 MHz, making it suitable for high-speed networking.
Is it backwards compatible with older equipment?
Yes. It stays fully backwards compatible with your existing network, so it works alongside older Cat5 and Cat5e devices.
What does snag-less mean?
The plug clip is shielded by a moulded boot, so it won't catch or snap when you pull the lead through a bundle of cables.
Is this a shielded cable?
No, it is an unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. It is well suited to typical home and office networks.
What can I connect with it?
It works with PCs, printers, servers, routers, switch boxes and more, using standard RJ45 ports at both ends.
How long is the cable?
This version is 3.0 metres. Other lengths are available across the range, with shorter ones supplied in a sealed retail bag.
