Description
This AV:Link Cat6 patch lead gives you a reliable wired connection between devices, with an RJ45 plug at each end and a 25 metre run to bridge longer gaps around the home or office. The unshielded twisted pair (UTP) construction uses stranded copper conductors, rated 7 x 0.18mm at 25AWG, which keeps the cable flexible and easy to route.
Cat6 cabling supports frequencies up to 250 MHz and high-speed data transmission up to 1,000Mbps (1Gbps), so it handles everything from streaming to large file transfers without holding you back. The lead is fully backwards compatible with your existing network, meaning it works alongside older Cat5e gear as well as newer kit. Use it with PCs, printers, servers, routers, switch boxes and anything else that takes a wired connection.
We designed these patch cables to be snag-less, so the moulded boot protects the clip and stops it catching as you feed the cable through cabinets or behind furniture. The build aims for uniform impedance, very low return loss and a higher signal-to-noise ratio, which all add up to a steadier connection. The overall diameter is 6.0mm, and shorter lengths in the range come supplied in a sealed retail-friendly bag.

Frequently Asked
What speed does this cable support?
It supports data rates up to 1,000Mbps (1Gbps) and frequencies up to 250 MHz, which is standard for Cat6 cabling.
Is it compatible with older Cat5e networks?
Yes. The lead is fully backwards compatible, so it works with existing Cat5e equipment and older network hardware.
What does UTP mean?
UTP stands for unshielded twisted pair. The wire pairs are twisted to reduce interference without an added foil or braid shield.
What length is this lead?
This version is 25.0 metres, giving you plenty of reach for longer runs between rooms or across an office.
What type of connectors does it use?
It has a standard RJ45 plug at each end, so it plugs straight into most PCs, routers, switches and other network devices.
Is the connector snag-less?
Yes. The moulded snag-less boot shields the clip so the cable feeds through cabinets and tight spaces without catching.
