Description

This AV:Link Cat6 patch lead connects your network kit with an RJ45 plug at each end. It runs 20 metres, giving you plenty of reach between rooms or across a larger space. The cable is unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and carries stranded copper conductors made up of 7 strands at 0.18mm each, rated at 25AWG. The overall cable diameter is 6.0mm, so it stays flexible and easy to route.

We've built these leads to handle frequencies up to 250 MHz, which supports high-speed data transmission of up to 1,000Mbps (1Gbps). That makes them a good fit for gigabit networks and everyday tasks like streaming, gaming and moving large files. The snag-less moulded boot protects the retaining clip, so the plug won't catch or snap off when you pull the cable through tight spaces or unplug it.

You can use this patch lead with PCs, printers, servers, routers, switch boxes and more, and it stays fully backwards compatible with your existing network. The Cat6 design gives you uniform impedance, very low return loss and a higher signal-to-noise ratio, so your connection stays steady. Note that a patch lead is the same thing as a patch cable, and RJ45 is the standard connector you'll find on most network gear. Shorter lengths in this range come in a sealed retail bag.
