Description

This brushed steel wallplate gives you two XLR sockets in a single, tidy fixture. It fits a standard single mains back box, so you can mount it flush into a wall wherever you need audio connections. The XLR sockets on the front connect to solder terminals at the rear, letting you wire in your own cable runs behind the wall and keep the visible side clean.

We designed this plate for situations where trailing wires get in the way. Run your XLR cabling through the wall and terminate it at a fixed point in another room or a different part of the same space. It suits home studios, meeting rooms, classrooms and small commercial venues, anywhere you want a permanent audio connection point rather than loose leads across the floor.

The 1-gang plate measures 86 x 86 x 27mm and weighs 82g, with fixing screws supplied so you can install it straight away. The brushed steel finish is plain and hard-wearing, sitting neatly against most wall colours. You'll need to solder your XLR cables to the rear terminals, which gives a solid, reliable connection once fitted. Note that XLR is sometimes called a Cannon connector, though XLR is the standard term across audio work today.
