This 50m HDMI lead from AV:Link uses active fibre optic technology (AOC) to carry the HDMI signal, so you can run it over long distances without the signal degrading the way it can with standard copper cables. It supports video resolutions up to 8K Ultra High Definition at 60Hz, with video bandwidth of up to 48Gb/s. That makes it a practical choice where the source and display sit far apart, such as a projector at one end of a room and a media player at the other.

The cable itself has a 4.8mm outer diameter, which keeps it thin and flexible enough to route around corners and through conduit over its full length. The headshells (the connector housings, sometimes called plug shells in the US) are made from alloy and measure only 19mm wide and 9mm high, so they fit into tight spaces behind wall plates and equipment racks.
