Description

The Aurion is a 260mm-tall alabaster table lamp built around a single 180mm globe of natural Spanish alabaster, set on a solid cylindrical marble base with a slim brushed brass collar between the two stones. An integrated 5W LED inside the globe casts warm 3000K light outwards through the alabaster, turning the sphere itself into the diffuser rather than relying on a hidden shade.

At 260mm tall and 180mm wide, the Aurion suits bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and shelf positions where a compact decorative light is needed alongside a primary lamp or overhead fitting. The 230V mains feed runs through the base on a discreet cable, and the lamp sits stably on its weighted marble cylinder without needing a separate plinth or coaster on most surfaces.

Each alabaster globe shows different veining, cloud-like tonal variation and pockets of denser mineral content depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Aurions glow identically when lit. The marble base introduces a second, heavier stone character beneath the lighter alabaster, with finer grey veining running across its smooth cylindrical surface. The brushed brass collar between the two creates a clean horizontal line and stops the globe and base from reading as a single piece.

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the globe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
