Description
The Auriel is a 7-light cluster chandelier built from seven 150mm natural Spanish alabaster globes, each suspended on an individual black cable from a single black ceiling drop. The cables converge at a black cylindrical canopy housing, with small brass sockets visible where each globe meets its cable. Light is provided by seven G9 lamps (sold separately), one inside each alabaster sphere.
The cluster measures 500mm in diameter with a total drop of 1500mm, suiting double-height entrance halls, stairwell voids, dining tables in rooms with 2.7m+ ceilings, and open-plan kitchen islands where a single sculptural fitting is wanted rather than a row of pendants. The vertical cable structure means the chandelier reads compactly in plan but draws the eye upward in elevation, working with the height of the room rather than against it.
Each alabaster globe is cut from a different section of stone, so veining patterns, amber-toned mineral inclusions and translucency vary noticeably between the seven shades. When the G9 lamps are lit, this variation becomes the defining visual feature: some globes glow more evenly, others show stronger streaks of warm colour through the stone. The black cabling and canopy hold the composition together and prevent the natural irregularity of the alabaster from reading as disorder.
Each shade is 150mm in diameter and the seven sit at slightly staggered heights to form an overlapping cluster rather than a flat ring. The 1500mm overall height includes adjustable cable, so the drop can be shortened on installation to suit lower ceilings or a specific position above a table.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Auriel take?
The chandelier takes seven G9 capsule lamps, one inside each alabaster globe. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED of 2700K-3000K at 2-4W per lamp is the most common pairing, giving a soft glow through the stone without overheating the shade.
What ceiling height does it suit?
The 1500mm total drop is adjustable on installation. The chandelier suits ceiling heights of 2.7m and above for dining or kitchen island use, and works particularly well in stairwells, double-height entrance halls and voids where the full vertical drop can be appreciated.
Do all seven shades look the same?
No. Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, amber tones and translucency vary between the seven shades. This variation is a feature of the stone and becomes most visible when the lamps are lit.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe each globe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as these can stain or dull the surface of the stone.
